Business intelligence (BI): the procedural and technical infrastructure set up to collect, store and analyze the data produced by a company’s business activities. BI encompasses data mining, process analysis, performance bench-marking, diagnostic and Descriptive Analytics etc.
Advanced Analytics: the semi-autonomous examination of data or content beyond descriptive analytics (traditional Business Intelligence output), to discover deeper insights, make predictions, or generate recommendations. Advanced Analytics encompasses Predictive and Prescriptive Analytics.
We are in the Information Age, characterized by big data generated internally or streaming in unstructured diverse format (mail, social media, websites, news etc) by a business or industry/sector, this overload do not make for easy collection and analysis, and more often lead to Analysis Paralysis.
EthosBI is meant to take in all these data generated and present an easy to digest performance measures and trends that will inform management decisions; hiring, compliance, production, marketing etc.
When collecting and growing business intelligence becomes a core business value, it is difficult to find a business area that does not benefit from having better information to work with. To be effective, we seek to integrate EthosBI with the Accounting System (Quickbooks, Sage and Pastel) this increases the accuracy and timeliness of data captured. We also seek more ways to capture information that isn’t already being recorded on your company social platforms and website.
